The Hope of Christmas is a regional Christmas outreach that began here at New Life back in 2001.  It quickly grew to be bigger than one church could handle so we reached out to some other churches with whom we had built unity over the years.  The Outreach happens outside each December with as many as 30+ churches and ministries bringing "their part" to the streets of Elmira. A live stage show shares & shows the Gospel message while area churches set up booths throughout the parks and streets blessing the community in some way.  Every child goes home with a brand new toy (generously given by the area churches) plus so much free food, games and other giveaways.  Thousands enjoy this free outreach event every year and it's our privilege to serve alongside so many other amazing churches from our area.  John 17 says that when we are one then the world will know that the Father sent the Son. No competition, No church growth techniques, just lifting up the name of Jesus together right in the heart of our city.
